Opis:

The owner of this exquisite waterfront home has lived on Tortola for many years. Construction was completed in 2010 but this island home looks and feels brand new. Spacious, light and bright, the home clearly benefits from all of her experience, from choosing the perfect site, to designing the ideal home and finally execution of the build and finish details. The lot provides not only access to the water but breath taking North Shore views of Guana Island and all the way to Virgin Gorda, Little Bay and Josiah's Bay, and constant refreshing breezes. The design of the home is modern and appealing to the eye with high standards of fit and finish. The only sounds to be heard from the home are the waves crashing on the shoreline and the pelicans diving for sprats! The entrance level of the main house consists of an open plan living, dining and kitchen area leading to a very generous 16' wide, largely covered, hardwood deck with stainless steel rigging wire railings. There's a fabulous jacuzzi on the deck, fantastic for star gazing on a cool winter's evening, Pina Colada in hand! Also on this level there's a well appointed bathroom, spacious guest bedroom, a multi purpose room that can serve equally well as a third bedroom, office or media room or combination thereof. A conveniently placed laundry room is also home to a good quality wine fridge. Up the beautifully crafted staircase to the Master bedroom and bathroom suite, again providing fantastic ocean and island views, and plenty of closet space. The bluish travertine tiled floors throughout give the interior of the house a cool feel. The open kitchen/living room provides the perfect environment in which to talk and relax whilst taking in the view through the exceptionally large, hurricane rated French sliding doors. The well-equipped kitchen has stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, and maple cabinets All the bedrooms provide ocean views, spacious mahogany closets and air conditioning. The detached one bedroom Guest House provides another large wooden deck overlooking the sea and offers the perfect spot to sunbathe or to enjoy the peace and quiet whilst seated in a chair hammock. It also provides a spacious area for barbequing and covered al fresco dining. With a fully equipped kitchen, again with stainless steel appliances and quartz countertops, open plan living and dining area, and independent utilities, guests can be completely self sufficient. There are steps down from Bedou Sands which wind through the colourful, tropical gardens down to the seashore. On calm days, it is possible to snorkel from the rocks and the more adventurous might choose to walk along the rocky seashore to the secluded, pebble beach of Cooten Bay. Once there and just behind the high water mark is a fortified ruin dating from the sugar plantation era complete with a cannon facing the sea. Nearby are the beautiful, deserted, golden sand beaches of Rogues Bay (10 minutes by car) and Trunk Bay (15 minutes) as is the popular, surfing beach of Josiah's Bay, which can be seen from the deck in the distance. The home is centrally situated to explore the island of Tortola. Road Town, the capital, is 15 minutes away on the south coast where you can shop or take ferries to the other islands. The Airport is 20 minutes to the east. On the practical side, Bedou Sands was built with plenty of cistern capacity, lots and lots of storage space, and automatic generator and automatic keyed entry gates.
