Plaka is a village in the Apokoronas, a little bit east of Chania, just above Kalyves and Almyrida. The village is developing rapidly and many new houses are being built but there is still an old village centre with a large square, taverns and a church. Down the road lies the beach of Almirida and a little bit further you can find the beaches of Kalives.
