Opis:

Wurley Court"

"Wurley Court" is owned and operated by The Vasey Housing Association, N.S.W with experience in the NSW retirement industry since 1962.

Peacefully set in one of Hunters Hill's exclusive peninsula streets, "Wurley Court" offers a choice of 35 self-contained one bedroom apartments.

“Wurley Court” is Vasey's flagship village and was opened on the 8th July 1961 by his Excellency the Governor of New South Wales, Lieutenant-General Sir Eric Woodward KCMG, CB, CBE, DSO. The building was originally the home of the Windeyer family - one of Australia's longest serving legal families - of which patriarch Justice William Windeyer was Mayor of Hunters Hill between 1915 and 1924. “Wurley” celebrated its 100th Anniversary on the 1st November 2003, and the orginal homestead remains as the estate's historic centrepiece.

The average apartment size is 36sqm and all are secure, well appointed and feature a separate bedroom, kitchen, living/dining area and bathroom, while window screens, carpet, light fittings, a phone line, Digital TV antenna and monitored fire alarm (including smoke and heat detectors) are standard inclusions. Some apartments may also include a balcony.

All apartments are either renovated or fully refurbished prior to occupancy and comprise a living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Shared laundry facilities are available.

All our apartments are designed for single living, offering the autonomy of your own home with safety features and an environment where you can choose to take part in the community.

The Vasey Housing Association, N.S.W. is a not for profit organisation. It was founded by Jessie Mary Vasey, widow of one of Australia's most distinguished soldiers, Major General George Alan Vasey, CB,CBE,DSO, who was killed when his aircraft crashed in the mouth of the Barron River near Cairns.

Jessie was a pioneer in the fight to obtain justice for thousands of war widows. This led her to form the national War Widows Guild of Australia and, in 1959, The Vasey Housing Auxillary NSW.

Vasey's aim is to provide quality apartments and property management for single persons over the age of 55 who wish to enjoy an independent and dignified style of living.

A small team of dedicated staff and a Board of Directors willingly give their time and effort to ensure the high standards of the Association are maintained.
