The house was our home until 4 years ago. Constructed in 2004/5 , Itwas 3 bed/ two bath timber framed house on a concrete slabwith a partialbasement below. The house kit itself supplied by Maple Timber Frame of Preston, Lancs . Designed to comply with UK building regulations and with all timber treated prior to delivery. The Frame/roof etc. could be dismantled and reassembled onto a new foundation. Note that all fixtures and fittings have been removed and are no longer available.
The basement was severely damaged as a result of a burst reservoir (approx. size of a football pitch) immediately above the property on a neighbours land; this in turn caused movement of the house to the extent that it is uninhabitable. Please note that such a problem cannot now reoccur because the reservoir has been totally levelled and no longer exists. (Google earth history shows its previous size). Also note thatthe swimming pool is undamaged and is usable.
