The wonderful climate, the kindness and warmth of its people and the village's traditional values is why Orciatico is a special place.

Those who live and stay there can enjoy the produce of its land, including local olive oil, wine and game as well as its famous annual chestnut festival and village events in the piazza such as dancing and opera.

If you are lucky, on a springtime walk you might find some wild asparagus which grows in the village hedgerows.

We were seeking a little piece of Italy off the tourist trail and found it in a village that ticked all the boxes - Orciatico has it all!'
