Caroona Goonellabah - Independent Living

On the site at Goonellabah we have one hundred and fifty people in two Nursing Homes, seventy-nine in the Hostel, and a total of fifty-two self care units. A Community Centre provides a focal point for village residents to get together for meetings and recreational activities. A maintenance fee covers building insurance, rates, community electricity, and maintenance of buildings and grounds. UnitingCare is able to provide cleaning and other services, on a fee for service basis, as may be needed by residents from time to time. All units have 3 call buttons in the event of an emergency. They are monitored 24 hours a day.
