A cluster of three farm houses and a habitable wooden chalet situated on nearly 24 hectares of land.
Two of the three stone built buildings, measuring a total of 490 square metres, are in need of total restoration whilst the third was recently restored.
This renovated property measures 220 square metres and is on three floors. There is an eat-in kitchen on the ground floor as well as a cantina that is built directly into the rock. This second room requires restoration and could be transformed into a very interesting formal dining room or another reception room. Stairs lead to the upper floor where there is a spacious living room complete with a large fireplace which houses a wood burning stove, and on this same floor there is a second room that is currently used as a study. A pretty staircase with ornate railings provides access to the top floor where there is a bathroom and two bedrooms. The property is spacious and the living room in particular is very comfortable and inviting.
The two unrestored buildings are large and located only a few steps away from the restored house. The relation of one building to another and the difference in their heights create an interesting, hamlet like feel and all of the things that you would expect to find in Umbrian farmhouses are here; exposed wooden beams, terracotta floor and ceiling tiles, fabulous carved stone fireplaces, external stairs and loggias and stone door and window surrounds.
The wooden chalet, which was used by the owners whilst the main house was being restored, is perfectly habitable and located above the property and flanked by a chestnut wood.
The property is rather isolated and the access road does require attention but these aspects are off-set by the stunning view and the extreme peace of the location.
