Manning & Leigh House - Independent Living

Manning and Leigh Houses are the Independent Living Units within UnitingCare – Shoalhaven. Located within walking distance (300 metres) of Nowra’s Central Business District, residents enjoy easy-access to local amenities including doctors, the hospital, churches, the bowling club, post office, cinema, various community services, social groups and public transport.

All Units have a balcony and are surrounded by maintained lawns and gardens and include stoves and fridges, air conditioning, maintenance, all rates, electricity and heating, access to various resident support services, shared laundries, some undercover car parking, 24/7 emergency alarm system and maintenance call centre and access to the Village Community Centre.

Manning and Leigh Houses offer a range of villa options with units suitable for a singles with combined bedroom / sitting areas and their own kitchen and bathroom or one-bedroom options with a separate bedroom, lounge/dining area, kitchen and bathroom which can accommodate couples.

Independent Living Villages provide accommodation for people over 55 years with an independent and secure lifestyle. Our one and two bedroom units are primarily for people who wish to live independently. Residents have the opportunity to organise external services to be delivered to their home, such as laundry, cleaning, meals and personal care. Independent Living offers freedom from building and gardening maintenance, a sense of security, companionship and access to other useful services and facilities.
