A 15th Century Stone-Built Cottage in Rural Location on the Border with Lower Normandy. The house is a 3-bedroom stone-built cottage which dates back at least in part to the Hundred Years War in the 15th century. It sits in 875m2 of grounds. To the rear is a garden and a fully enclosed and secure lean-to shed attached to the rear wall of the house. Immediately outside the rear door is a terrace ideal for al fresco drinks and meals. To the front of the house are flower borders.
To one side of the house is a two-section 'dependence'. It is currently used for storage but could be converted into a holiday 'gite'. Parking for two cars is on a shingled area in front of the 'gite'.
The Cottage
The house is on three levels. On the ground floor, inside the front door is a small hallway off of which is a bathroom with separate toilet. To one side is the lounge. On the other is the kitchen/dining room in which is a wood-burning stove.
A spiral staircase leads to the two upper floors. On the first floor is a hallway off of which is a bathroom & toilet. To one side of the hallway is the main (double) bedroom. On the other is the second bedroom which can be a double or a triple. That room leads to the study.
On the second floor is a loft bedroom. It is currently used as an artist's atelier/photo studio.

The house fronts on to a very quiet country lane.
The nearest ferry port is Ouistreham, about 1hr 15mins drive away.
