Location

Situated close to Greek island of Skorpios (17 miles distance), owned by the famous Greek tycoon Aristotle Onassis), the island forms part of the northern group of the Echinades in the Ionian Sea.

The Island itself is current uninhabited and covers a total area of 2.400 acre. The island is owned privately and Greece has no ownership rights.

Administratively, the Echinades form part of Kefalonia and Ithaca Prefecture in Greece.

Geographically, the island is located in the Ionian Sea, to the West of Greece and the East of Italy. It belongs to a complex of five beautiful islands within the Echinades complex. Directly in front of the complex is the gulf of Astakos.

Astakos consists of a small fishing village with around 2.000 inhabitants and consistently attracts a number of tourists during the summer months. There is an airport in the town of Agrinion, 60km inland.
